Mark and his brother, Scott, are identical twins and have spent more time in space on the ISS than just about anyone else.

Mark's wife, Gabby, was shot in the head and handed her Senate Seat to Mark and he remains a United States Senator (as if he he hasn't done enough?) and he was the last NASA pilot to land the Space Shuttle before they were retired.

Given the now Senator and his brother are identical twins NASA has done a lot of experiments on their differences between their time in space.

After Gabby's shooting I wrote to Mark and advised I'd just had a daughter and he sent me an autographed copy of his children's book titled "Mousetronaut".

This exceptional man went to that level of trouble.

There are some people on this terrible planet that are just noteworthy.

I was hoping he would run for President!
